Great service from Eco Tech Electrical Contractors Ltd. My shop shutter in IG11 kept tripping the fuse which also caused my security door mag‑lock to stop working. As a gold shop this was a serious security issue. Shashi arrived quickly, diagnosed the fault and repaired everything professionally. Very reliable and trustworthy electrician. Highly recommended

We’ve used Eco Tech Electrical Contractors several times now for different compliance jobs and they’ve been excellent every time. They carried out our EICR last year, then installed our fire alarm panel and emergency lighting, and most recently helped us with surge protection after we had issues with our machines and inverters. All the work has been completed to a very high standard, everything is explained clearly, and the service is always reliable and professional. Highly recommended for any commercial electrical or compliance work.

I had an excellent experience- booked in very last minute and they were able to accommodate me. The pricing was upfront and very reasonable with no hidden costs for extra circuits (as I've experienced before). The certificate was very quickly shared after the job was finished. Highly recommend.

FAQs Fault Diagnostic and Rectification

How soon can an electrician attend?

Call us anytime. Our technical team works hard to book you in as soon as possible, often same day depending on availability.

We cover all London postcodes, including East, West, North, South and Central London. For more information, visit ourHome Page.

Yes — we offer after‑hours and weekend call‑outs for fault finding. Our admin team does not work after hours, so the best way to reach us is by using the WhatsApp button on the  screen

Yes — we provide full commercial electrical fault‑finding, including shops, restaurants, warehouses, hotels, and offices. Learn more on our Commercial Electrical Services Page.

If the issue is large or requires parts, we will:

  • Provide a full quotation

  • Give availability for repair

  • Ensure the property is left safe

  • Isolate the faulty part of the installation if needed

No — we also diagnose fire alarm panel faults, AOV issues, and other electronics‑based systems. More details are available on our Fire Alarm Services Page.

No — we do not repair appliances. We only diagnose electrical faults. If your appliance is faulty, opening or tampering with it may void the manufacturer’s warranty, so we avoid appliance repairs. Our job is to confirm whether the fault is in the wiring or the appliance, not to repair the appliance itself.

An RCD monitors the electrical current flowing in and out of a circuit.

If there is a difference greater than 30mA, it means electricity is leaking somewhere — potentially through a person or a fault — so the RCD trips to prevent electric shock.

We do not recommend touching any live components.

However, you can safely try this:

  1. Unplug all appliances (not just switch them off).

  2. Reset the RCD.

  3. Plug appliances back in one by one.

  4. If one appliance is faulty, the RCD will trip immediately when it’s plugged in.

If the RCD still trips with everything unplugged, call a qualified electrician.

We do not take upfront payment for diagnostic work. Once the job is completed, we send an invoice, and customers can pay via bank transfer. We currently do not accept card payments.

Yes — we can provide a written summary of the fault, the cause, and the corrective action taken. This is useful for landlords, commercial clients, and insurance purposes.
